Eksperter lanserer som sagt tenketank for M.E i Norge og følgende er blitt sagt av personer som skal delta.

"There are more than 5000 research papers whichshow that ME has an organic basis withabnormalities in the immune, nervous andgastrointestinal systems and that it is influenced bygenetic and environmental factors," states ProfessorKenny De Meirleir of Belgium.

Professor Ola Didrik Saugstad of Norway states,"There is a total lack of knowledge andunderstanding about this disease in the healthcaresystem. We wish to use our knowledge to educateand train doctors, therapists and other healthcarepersonnel so they can better understand how tomanage an ME-patient."

"Until now ME organizations have been patient-basedand only focused on the needs of the patients, sothis is something completely new and unique. Weare a group of professionals who want to stimulatenew research in the field of ME and to help doctorsand healthcare personnel to stay informed about thelatest developments in diagnosing and treatingME-patients," says ESME board member Mrs.Catherine Miller-Duhen.
